FAQs
Are you tax exempt?
We sure are! We have been a 501(c)3 Nonprofit organization since 2000. You can view our IRS Determination Letter here.
Can I donate items?
You can, but with the caveat that you let us know what you’re thinking before you show up. Our space is very limited so we cannot say “yes” to everything. Email us here to discuss and if we can take it, you’ll receive a tax deductible receipt.
Is my donation tax deductible?
It sure is! Any donation you make is deductible within the year you make the donation. We send out annual giving statements each January.
Can I see your IRS 990’s?
Of course you can. Click here or you can visit our GuideStar profile for a deeper dive.
What is the best way to give?
Monthly donations are the best way to support our work. They allow us to plan and budget with great accuracy and that serves our Neighbors in a greater way.
What about foundation giving?
If you make your charitable giving to a foundation such as Charles Schwab, National Christian Foundation or Waco Foundation, you can suggest Lovely Village as a grant recipient through your fund.
